A week along the Yucatán coast: from Progreso to Sisal

Progreso boardwalk in the afternoon.

The Yucatán coast has a different charm from the Mexican Caribbean. Less white-sand postcard and more everyday life facing the sea.

Progreso

The port has changed a lot with cruise ships but still keeps its small-town feel. The boardwalk at sunset never disappoints.

Telchac and Chuburná

Fishing towns where you can buy fish straight off the boat. Slow rhythm, no tourist infrastructure.

Sisal

A Pueblo Mágico since 2020 yet still itself. Mangroves, flamingos nearby and a lighthouse worth the walk.
